Reaching Buyers at the Moment They Are Searching

Social ads interrupt someone scrolling; search ads answer someone who already typed what they want. That difference in intent is why a search campaign usually converts better for a B2B product or a high-value purchase — a plant manager searching a specific valve specification, or a homeowner searching a specific service, has already decided they need something and is comparing who to buy from, not deciding whether to buy at all. The same precision that makes search ads work is also what makes broad keywords expensive: bid on a generic term like "pumps" instead of the specific model someone is actually searching, and the budget goes to people browsing, not buying. Getting the keyword list right matters more than almost anything else in the account.

What We Run

Four kinds of campaign cover most of what a B2B or local business actually needs from Google Ads.

Search Campaigns

Text ads against the specific terms buyers type, with negative keywords to stop budget going to irrelevant searches.

Shopping Campaigns

Product listings with images and prices for online stores, driven by a properly structured product feed.

Local Campaigns

Geo-targeted ads and call extensions for businesses serving one city or district.

Remarketing

Reaching people who visited the site or viewed a product but did not enquire or buy.

Shopping campaigns need a store with a proper product feed behind them — see our ecommerce website development work if that structure isn't there yet.

What We Actually Do

The scope on every account looks roughly like this:

  • Account setup, conversion tracking and Google Analytics configuration
  • Keyword research, including negative keyword lists
  • Ad copy and extension setup
  • Campaign and ad group structure
  • Bid strategy and budget allocation
  • Landing page review, and building landing pages where needed
  • Monthly reporting on spend, cost per click, and cost per enquiry

Google Ads or SEO?

Google Ads produces enquiries almost immediately, but only for as long as you keep paying — turn the budget off and the traffic stops the same day. SEO takes months to show meaningful movement, but once a page ranks, the traffic keeps arriving without an ongoing cost per click. For a new business or a product launch with nothing ranking yet, ads usually make sense first, since there's no organic visibility to wait for. For an established business with a technically sound site, SEO usually costs less over a year or two, because you stop paying per click for traffic you're already earning. Most businesses that run both end up using ads to cover the specific terms SEO hasn't reached yet, rather than treating the two as competing budgets.

What It Costs

Ad spend and management fees are two separate things, and it's worth keeping them that way in your head. The ad spend itself goes directly to Google and pays for the clicks; management is what we charge, billed monthly, for building and running the account. Cost per click varies enormously by industry — a narrow B2B search term can cost a lot per click but convert at a high deal value, while a broad consumer term is usually cheaper per click and converts less often, since more of that traffic is still comparing options. There's no single number that applies to every business, which is why we quote a fixed management fee once we've looked at your actual keywords and market, not before.

How We Work

1. Understand the Product, the Buyer and the Budget

We start by finding out what you actually sell, who searches for it, and what you can realistically spend.

2. Keyword Research and Conversion Tracking Setup

We build the keyword and negative keyword lists first, then install tracking so we know which clicks actually convert.

3. Build Campaigns, Launch, and Refine Negative Keywords

We launch the campaigns and keep trimming the negative keyword list as real search terms come in.

4. Report Monthly on Spend, Clicks and Cost Per Enquiry

You get a monthly report showing what was spent, how many clicks came in, and what each enquiry actually cost.

This sits alongside our broader digital marketing work, rather than as a service we run in isolation.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends heavily on your industry and keywords, which is why we won't quote a number without seeing them first. Niche B2B terms often cost more per click than broad consumer terms, but need far fewer clicks to produce a worthwhile enquiry given the deal size involved. We'll suggest a starting budget once we understand what you sell and who searches for it.
